Dear Greater Minnesota Community Member,
In 2009 "Casting for a Cure" was able to donate $15,000 for the Coborn‘s Cancer Center, because of the generous donations from community members and businesses. The 2009 fish-a-thon was a huge success rallying 70 anglers and 300+ attendees at the celebration and awards ceremony. At the celebration there was 60 silent auction items, 30 door prizes given away, and 24 awards presented! Prizes and awards given away for the event valued over $2000!
This year the event will be held on September 11, 2010. It is a catch-photo-release fish your favorite body of water event. A Celebration of Hope and awards ceremony will follow the event at the Blue Line Bar and Grill, Sartell, MN. The Fish-a-thon includes skill and luck based fishing awards determined by photo documentation of your photo slideshow presentation of the participants, a silent auction, door prizes and a memorial wall.
We invite you to join us for the "Casting for a Cure" 2010 Fish-a-thon to raise money for local Cancer awareness, prevention, resources, and the fight for a cure. Without community and business support, we cannot be successful. We have developed a 3 tier structure for the event sponsorship. Please review the following tiers and if an event sponsorship cash donation is not possible this year, we ask that you consider and in-kind donation, pledge award, or silent auction donation.

The Greater Minnesota Fight for a Cure fund is held by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. For tax-deductible cash donations greater than $250 please make your check to "CMCF" with "Greater MN Fight for a Cure" on the note line and mail to CMCF 101 7th Ave. S. #100 St. Cloud, MN 56301.
