September 11, 2010 Casting for a Cure Fish-A-Thon and Celebration of Hope Timeline of Events

Awards Ceremony and Celebration of Hope will be held on the evening of September 11, 2010, held at the Blue Line Sports Bar and Grill, Sartell, MN.

Schedule of Events:

Sunrise through the day – Fish!
Fish on any body of water in MN as an Angler in the 2010 Casting for a Cure Fish-A-Thon.

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Outdoor Activities and Party Time Inflatables
Free admission to the Blue Line Bar and Grill in Sartell for the Casting for a Cure Awards Ceremony and Celebration of Hope. Come and enjoy a fun and family friendly event, even if you're not fishing that day! Activities include Mini Dance Session with Just For Kix, Fishing Activities, as well as Informational Booths from Coborn Cancer Center & B.L.E.N.D.

5:30 - Mini Dance & Excercise Session with Just for Kix
Ages 3 and up can join in for this fun, free, high energy mini dance session to promote good health, excercise, and healthy living.

4 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Angler Virtual Weigh-In
Anglers hand in their angling log, and digital pictures of their catches at the Virtual Weigh-In registration table.

4 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Socializing & Networking
The Blue Line Bar and Grill is generously donating 10% of sales from
5 p.m. until closing to Casting for a Cure. A memorial wall will be honoring those affected by cancer. Please stop by to fill out your loved ones name who has been affected by cancer.

4 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Door Prizes
Door prizes every hour will be given away to attendees.

4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Silent Auction
Make your bids on the Casting for a Cure Silent Auction. Bidding will close about fifteen minutes after the Awards Ceremony ends.

7:30 p.m. to 8:15 - Awards Ceremony
Cash, trophy & prize awards will be given out in several categories for both adults & youth participants of the 2010 Casting for a Cure Fish-A-Thon. Attendees will be able to see slideshows of angler catches as well as hear a few fishing stories.

9 p.m. to 12 a.m. - Lakemaid Beer Competition
Winners for each hour will receive prizes for the most pounds of Lakemaid fish caught! Lakemaid Beer is the Official beer sponsor of Casting for a Cure 2010. Proceeds from each beer purchased go to Casting for a Cure, put on by Greater MN Fight for a Cure.

9 p.m. to 2 a.m. - Live Entertainment
Live music by Dave Hudson.

Meat Raffle at Rice American Legion
Friday August 27th, starting at 6:30 p.m.


The 1st Annual Volleyball Bash for a Cure will be held on September 24th & 25th, 2010 at O'Brien's Pub in Rice, Minnesota. This is a 16 team volleyball tournament, silent auction, raffle for vikings tickets, live entertainment, and a hog roast! Rev 96 will also be broadcasting live on Saturday.
